The Final Eighties Thing ... I hope

In a bid to quell my ever growing curiousity I am posting this site. It claims to have a little about all things in the eighties. Songs, politics, fashion (we all want to go back there, just give me the keys apparently I'm driving!) So, enjoy, I hopefully, am going to bed. I'll try to not "Wear my sunglasses!"

You know, I've been having 80s flashbacks myself lately. I've found myself compiling music of my childhood. Nostalgia... does the first wave of it really hit in the mid-20s, or what?

Thirties for me... and an iPod helps too. I just was at iTunes and picked up classics from my youth such as Europe - The Final Countdown, Van Halen - Jump, Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train (really, the only song I like from him... it is a really addictive tune), and the Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down to Georgia. I have many other songs that I am longing for now, especially some Toto... but one day I will have more funds to buy 80's music. Ahh... nothing like mindless tunes to listen to... oh, my next purchase will be Corey Hart!!!

I was just going to say ... I have been singing some of the fun songs to my kids lately. Venus from Banannarama (I knew most of their songs by heart too), Video Killed the Radio Star (they sing the owa, owa's), I wear My sunglasses at night etc. I don't think it's from the eighties but the song "Hands up, baby, hands up, give me your heart gimmie, gimmie your heart, gimmie gimmie..." is particularly useful for changing clothes without temper tantrums.

...Also, Was not Was "Everybody walk their dinosaur" I really liked that group. The rest of their songs were really inventive too.
